Chargers fall to Bulldogs

North Montgomery's season struggles continued on Wednesday night with a 55-32 loss to Clinton Central in boys' basketball.

The Bulldogs (2-6) outscored the Chargers (1-7) 18-7 after a quarter and never looked back.

Clinton Central scored 12 points off turnovers and had a 14-0 advantage in second-chance points.

"I just want to see us do our stuff," second-year North Montgomery coach Chad Arnold said. "We are trying to put time into ourselves, but we have to start doing our stuff. And we have to move on the fly."

Kyle Pickard led all scorers with 23 to lead the Bulldogs, while freshman Jarrod Kirsch led the Chargers with 12 on four made 3-pointers.

North Montgomery is back in action on Friday night at Western Boone, before returning to home to entertain Attica on Saturday.
