Davidson Earns Academic All-America Honors For Second Consecutive Season


Wabash College junior guard Jack Davidson has been named to the 2019-2020 Academic All-America Division III Men's Basketball Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He received the academic honor for the second consecutive season. Davidson, an economics major with a 3.59 cumulative grade point average, earned Third Team honors this year and was an Academic All-America Second Team selection in 2018-2019. He led Wabash in scoring this season with an average of 20.1 points per game. Davidson was selected to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team for the second year in a row and earned all-conference honors for the third consecutive season. His 20.1 points-per-game scoring average placed him second among NCAC players this season. Davidson handed out 103 assists for the second-highest total among NCAC players. He currently ranks seventh in career assists with 252 in 78 games. The junior led the conference and ranked 24th among Division III men's players in three-point field goal shooting percentage by making 77 of his 176 attempts for 43.8 percent. His 77 three-point field goals were the fifth-most in a single season for a Wabash player. Davidson scored a total of 522 points in his junior season. He ranks sixth in Wabash basketball history in scoring with 1,647 points. He was a preseason D3hoops.com All-America Fourth Team selection entering the 2019-2020 campaign.
