Crawfordsville and Southmont all victorious in Saturday matinees

Athenians down Panthers The Crawfordsville boys’ basketball team defeated Riverton Parke 67-52 on Saturday afternoon. Jesse Hall led the Athenians with 17 points, while Ty Lynas and Ziair Morgan each added 12. Crawfordsville is now 10-7 on the season, and hosts Western Boone on Tuesday. Mounties edge Red Ramblers The Southmont boys’ basketball team defeated Attica 63-50 on Saturday afternoon. Austin Bowman led the Mounties with 17 points, while Avery Saunders added 17, and Logan Oppy chipped in 13. Southmont has won three of its last four games, and is 5-11 on the season. They travel to Tri-West on Tuesday. Mustangs handle Rebels The Fountain Central boys’ basketball team defeated South Newton 61-37 on Saturday afternoon. Andrew Shabi led the Mustangs with 22 points, while Mason Larkin added 10. Fountain Central is now 9-10 on the season, and travels to Covington on Tuesday.
