The 2018-2019 Wabash College basketball team received the Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) for its efforts in the classroom. The Little Giants produced a 3.404 grade point average for the 2018-19 season. Institutions recognized for the award must count the grade point average of all male student-athletes who competed during the season. The Team Academic Excellence Award was created by the NABC Committee on Academics. "I am very proud of our group on and off the court," Wabash head basketball coach Kyle Brumett said. "Our students take their academics very seriously. The leaders of our team have high expectations. Our guys take advantage of the outstanding faculty we have here at Wabash College, which will have a life-long impact on our players' long-term success." The NABC recognizes NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA college basketball teams achieving a season GPA of 3.0 or higher. A total of 150 teams were honored by the NABC with the 2018-19 award.
