BBB: CHS and North set to close out regular season

Crawfordsville and North Montgomery will both close out the regular season on Friday night. The Athenians (15-6) have a tough task as they host 18-3 Covington. The Trojans have won nine in a row, and own wins this season over McCutcheon and Lebanon. They have a scoring margin of 18, averaging 66.3 points per game, while allowing just 48.9. The Athenians average 61 points per contest, but give up 54. Covington has four players that average double-figures, led by Colton Brown at 15 points per game. Brown has knocked down 70 3-pointers on the season, and shoots 43 percent from behind the arc. As a team, the Trojans average 7.2 made 3-point field goals a game. Crawfordsville is led by Jesse Johnson-Hall at 14.7 points per game, while Karsten Williamson and Will Kellerman both average 10 points a contest. The Chargers (5-16) will travel to Greencastle (17-4) in what could be a sectional semi-final matchup. Sophomore Brody Whitaker lead the Tiger Cubs with 19.7 points per game, while Benton Parmley and Gavin Bollman both average 10 points a contest. Despite Greencastle’s stout record, they only have a scoring margin of eight, averaging 56.7 points per game, and allowing 48.7 a contest. North Montgomery only averages 43.2 points per game, and gives up 52.7. Preston Shaw averages 8.5 points a game, while Jaron Bradford averages 7.8, and Kade Kobel 7.7 for the Chargers.
