Chargers stopped by Red Devils

From the opening possession when West Lafayette forced a turnover and then buried a three-pointer the Red Devils could do very little wrong in its 70-25 win over North Montgomery on Tuesday.

West Lafayette (10-3) put the game away in the second quarter when it outscored the Chargers (6-6) 20-6 to take a 43-18 halftime lead.

Joy Shirar and Emily Sennett led the Chargers with nine points each. Caroline McClaskey grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

The Chargers will be back in action Friday night when it will travel to Crawfordsville to battle the Athenians in a 6 p.m. battle as part of a boy/girl doubleheader.
