LEBANON — Marlowe McVay delivered the devastating blow to Sagamore Conference rival Lebanon.
The Southmont senior made the game-winning lay-up at the buzzer and Lebanon’s Senior Night turned sour in a hurry with the Mounties knocking off the Tigers 42-41 on Friday.
The win over Lebanon was Southmont’s first since 2009.
Kasey Burton led Southmont with 15 points, while McVay had 10. Avery Hess added eight.
Southmont will begin sectional play on Tuesday against South Putnam at Cascade.
