CAYUGA — Southmont improved to 2-1 by beating North Vermillon 63-15 on Tuesday night.
The Mounties were led by two seniors — Reagan Case and Kasey Burton, both finishing with double-doubles. Case had 14 points and 10 assists. Burton had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
“It was another complete team effort in the victory with a balanced scoring attack,” Southmont coach Dustin Oakley.
Lilly Ward had 13 points. Avery Hess had four points and nine assists. Liz Link had six points and five rebounds. Marlowe McVay had eight points and five rebounds.
The Mounties finished with a season-high 27 assists.
Southmont returns home Thursday to take on Fountain Central (1-0). The Mustangs won their season-opener 79-35 over Clinton Central.
