Wolves survive late Mountie rally
NEW MARKET — In a clash of two Class 2A Sectional 44 teams, Parke Heritage visited Southmont on Tuesday in a re-match of last years sectional matchup where the Wolves ended the Mounties season. This year the Mounties were out for revenge and through the first 16 minutes of the game, both teams weren’t giving an inch as the Wolves took a 28-25 lead into halftime. Mounties cruise to win over Blackhawks in home opener
NEW MARKET -- Southmont boys basketball knew they had to play better after their season opening 46-36 loss to North Putnam on Tuesday. The Mounties were back in action on Saturday night for their home opener as they hosted the Sheridan Blackhawks. LINDEN - Fountain Central girls basketball is beginning to find some momentum. The 29-13 win over the Chargers marked the third straight victory for the Mustangs under first year coach Sam Karr.
